Envision Financial
Envision Financial is offering $32,000 in scholarships this year to secondary students. To qualify students must be members in good standing since July 1, 2011 of Envision Financial. Students must be graduating from grade 12 in 2012 and have a minimum 67% or C+ average. Award recipients will be selected on the basis of a completed application form, extensive community and school involvement, reference letters from at least two sources and a transcript of most recent marks. THE TEAL Charitable Foundation will again be offering the David C. Lam/BC TEAL ESL Scholarships to ESL students across British Columbia.
Each year two David C. Lam/ BC TEAL Scholarships are awarded to two outstanding ESL students in BC. Each scholarship is valued at $2500. Please refer to the BC TEAL website bcteal.org for information regarding the application process for the David C. Lam Scholarships.
All ESL students living in British Columbia who are landed immigrants or Canadian citizens are eligible to apply for the David C. Lam/BC TEAL ESL Scholarships. Successful applicants may use the scholarship to register in any program being offered at a British Columbia post-secondary institution. British Columbia post – secondary institutions are defined as community colleges, vocational institutions and universities. The deadline for this year is January 31, 2012. Are you heading to U Vic in the Bachelor of Commerce program next fall? A $5,000 Black Press Business Scholarship is available to high school, transferring and continuing students from 37 BC communities entering UVic’s Bachelor of Commerce program in September 2012. W. GARFIELD WESTON AWARDS
The online application for the Entrance W. Garfield Weston Awards is now available at www.garfieldwestonawards.ca/EntranceAwards.
Up to 25 awards are available to students who begin their college studies at one of our participating colleges. University programs and university-transfer programs are not eligible. The deadline for applications to be received is 28 March 2012.
We are looking for students who are passionate about their field of study; curious, courageous, and willing to try new things; and community-minded and truly interested in becoming involved and making a difference in society. Students must be bound for full-time community college or CEGEP studies starting in September 2012.
2011-2012 BC Hockey Scholarship Applications
BC Hockey annually awards scholarships to deserving recipients who are in their graduating year of high school and are presently registered members of BC Hockey or former members playing in the Western Hockey League.

Grades 6-12 Technology Scholarship
The Technology Scholarship recognizes outstanding achievement in technology-based learning. The BCSSA and Apple Canada invite BC public school students in grades 6–12 to design a website for an opportunity to receive a scholarship prize of an Apple MacBook. There are four MacBook awards, one in each of the grade-level entry categories: Grade 6-7, Grade 8-9, Grade 10-11, and Grade 12.
This year we would like students to design a website for a school or community group. Please read the flyer for more details about the program.
Grade 12 Essay Scholarship
The Grade 12 Essay Scholarship provides financial assistance to BC public school students planning to pursue a teaching career. One scholarship winner will be chosen among finalists from each of the BCSSA's six regional chapters by a committee of educators. The winner will receive $1000, and the five finalists will receive $200 each. In addition to submitting an essay (1000 words maximum), applicants must provide a transcript of grades and two letters of reference attesting to school/community leadership.
The topic for the 2012 Grade 12 Essay Scholarship is "How would personalizing learning help students increase their success in school and later in their careers and life?"
BC Technology Scholarship

C.S.T. Consultants Inc. Guruparan and Winsor Scholarships.
Students are invited to apply for one of two $6,000 scholarships – C.S.T. Consultants Inc. Guruparan and Winsor Scholarships. These scholarships are available annually to two Canadian citizens who are academically gifted, well-rounded, and will be pursuing their first undergraduate commerce/finance/business degree/diploma at a recognized post secondary institution.
This program is aimed at those students whose parents/guardians do not have a post-secondary education or received their post-secondary education outside of Canada. Applicants must be intending to pursue their first undergraduate commerce/finance/business degree/diploma at a recognized post secondary institution in or outside of Canada.
The Awards Selection Committee will award $6,000 to one successful female applicant for the Guruparan Scholarship and $6,000 to one successful male applicant for the Winsor Scholarship, through competition. These awards are in memoriam of Karthiha Guruparan, a bright and determined CST summer student , who was on her way to completing her CMA and Bill Winsor, one of our most successful and engaged Branch Managers.

The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists Foundation is once again encouraging high school students throughout British Columbia to pursue careers in engineering and geoscience. Chartered in 1994, the Foundation offers a number of Post Secondary Entrance scholarships to graduating high school students entering the University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, University of Victoria, British Columbia Institute of Technology or the University of Northern British Columbia that lead to a degree in engineering or geoscience.
Each entrance scholarship is valued at $2,500.The Foundation has also created several Post Secondary Transfer Entrance Scholarships valued at $1,000 each for graduating high school students entering a college/university engineering transfer program in BC. All applicants must be graduating from high school in 2012.
Scholarship selection is based on Grade 12 academics, extracurricular activities, references, financial need, and the student’s written statement outlining reasons for entering the profession.
Applications should be completed on the forms linked below and postmarked no later than June 25, 2012. Students submitting applications for the scholarship should also arrange for their Grade 12 transcripts to be sent to APEGBC before August 07, 2012.
